CERN Pension Fund investment organization, assets and strategies.

Elena is Head of Investments (CIO) of the Pension Fund of CERN. The Fund manages approximately 4 billion Swiss Francs in assets, both internally and externally. Prior to joining the CERN Pension Fund, Elena worked in CERN’s science sector where she had been responsible for the safety and risk management system for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Prior to that she worked as a research physicist at CERN. Dr Manola-Bonthond holds a PhD in Particle Physics (neutrino oscillations) and an MBA in International Management. She is a CAiA charterholder.
